My daughter's laptop just turned four years old so her emachine died 4 years
ago. Her two cousins also had essentially the same machine so the designs
sampled could be considered to be one. The experience was bad enough that I
won't give emachines a second chance.
Some repairs/replacements were done under warranty. I think an extended
warranty had been purchased that covered them beyond 90 days, perhaps for a
year. YMMV
