You can't use the T32, at least not on-camera, because it is a dedicated
flash and the two extra contacts may conflict with the dedicated
contacts in the hot shoe (flash or camera may get damaged). You can use
it in combination with the Power Bounce Grip 2 and a hot shoe / pc cord
adapter, but of course only in Normal Mode or Manual Mode.
You should really get the FL-36 or FL-50 to get TTL flash, Super FP
flash and much more control of the flash intensity. BTW the most
versatile combination is the E-300 with the FL-36: this allows you to
use it together with the built-in flash; you can set it up with the
FL-36 bouncing, and you can set the flash intensity of both flashes
independently.
I think this is not possible on the E-500 because the built-in flash
pops up over the hot shoe; on the E-300 it sits next to the hot shoe.

: What is the verdict on the best external flash for the E-series
camera's?
: Can I use my T-32 on an E-500 or should I consider a new Olympus flash
: made specifically for the d-slr's?
