What would i do? I'd assume that the photographer has himself donated
the prints to the charity in order to promote his work in a socially
responsible way. The charity has derived their income and the
photographer has achieved his purpose. The charity can offer the
second print at their next auction after all and will probably get
far more than the photographer could ever ask.
Buy the print from the photographer as a way of encouraging his past
and future charitable works. Make a donation to a charity, any
charity, if you so wish.
Frankly, supporting a photographer could be described as a charitable
work in all but a few cases!
