Not sure I agree at all that slide film has 2.5 stops of
latitude.  From absolute black to absolute white, I find Velvia
to be somewhere just over six stops.

Regardless, with the E-1 I find that the latitude is somewhere
between Fujichrome Astia and Fuji Realla.  The only major
difference with digital is that there is a very minimal toe and
shoulder where print films have some.
