In Spanish, the equivalent idiomatic phrase is 'Las cartas están echadas'
It replaces a dice game for a card game, but this is as used in the Río de
la Plata (perhaps in Spain it's used as in Italy).
Which phrase would have a similar meaning is English? - perhaps 'Be it as it
may'?
