IMHO, it is a step up in build quality but Gary's tests might show a little
less in optical quality. Besides, the 2X-A doesn't seem to match it as it
surely does with the 200/4; sometimes they seem to be designed to perfectly
match each other. Been recently hunting birds with this combo and a 1-8
screen: using Velvia 50 handheld I was lucky once, and using Provia 100F
taking care of everything, was lucky most of the time and found they have
quite a bokeh too. Well, who am I to state these facts - I very often make
the 85~250 + 2X-A match together and feel amazed with the results :^)
