You should use an "all aluminum" battery cap, not painted black. They
stopped making the black caps when they discovered the threads had black
paint in them and could cause a host of other types of problems. Also, use
silver oxide batteries (MS76, KS76, 357, G13, SR44) 357s are made for
cameras with battery drain. They, out of all the silver oxides, will last
the longest in your camera. LR44, A76 are alkaline and have the shortest
life. Also, do not use lithium CR1/3N single cell.
