They only go for those prices with boxes and such to collecters.
Anybody wants an inexpensive 50/1.4 with serial #>1,100,000, I have a
spare. It is beautiful except for a shallow scratch in the coating right
in the middle of the rear element. I thought about putting a little
black into the scratch to avoid possible light scatter. I later picked
up one with perfect glass (for more money, of course) and I just can't
see any difference in the results, so I haven't done anything about the
scratch. A very fins permanent marker would fill it in.
One sits on the Viv 2x Macro teleconverter in the little bag with OM-4
and other lenses ready to grab 'n go and the other sits with the other
lenses I use fairly often. I recently was surprised that I hadn't
remembered which was where, but it doesn't seem to matter. Anyway, I
don't really need 2, so if anybody wants the one with the scratch for
$50 plus shipping ($3.85 in the US), drop me an off-list line. Very nice
on a DSLR. I sort of fell back in love with it as an 80/1.4 recently.
Really fast portrait with great DOF separation.
