Back? Never left it.
The Bering Strait bridge folk were newcomers, obviously, practicing the
now discredited diplomatic procedure of 'terra nullius' (no-one's
land). These bridges were created by sea level drops during the recent
ice ages rather than the much slower process of plate tectonics. They
occurred here too.
Why is George addressing pubic rugs then? ("Ma fellow merkins") or
should I be spelling it 'murkins' - or using the local insult 'seppo'
(Oz rhyming slang - septic tank).
There is no specific animosity between curmudgeons apart from the fact
that we don't necessarily like each other any more than anyone else
dammit. However there is a professional admiration for each other's
best efforts. We might form a club apart from that obstacle that
neither one of us would wish to belong to any club that would have us
as members.
