Well, all lenses are not created equal. Remember this shot? http://www.scalesfamily.com/images/New/pages/DSC_0511.htm It's with the Nikkor 28-200, which on the D100/D70 is a 42-300. Handheld. Not too shabby for a 7:1 lens.
