5MP is too limiting for other types of professional photography.
While the 5MP 4x5 ratio sensor is nearly perfect for this one
application it falls short in other applications.

I'm really intrigued by the new Cosina/Epson camera. We'll see
if the full package holds to the promise. But I'm suggesting
that a return to the tried and true camera configurations of 20
years ago (before Canon rewrote the userinterface) might be of
value.

Well, it depends on what you are looking for. The A1 proved to
be an exceptional purchase for me. I'm making money with it and
it is teaching me a lot about the new technologies and
user-interfaces. But, I agree that the cameras haven't
"arrived" quite yet. There is always something that screams for
improvement.
