The bicycle is a Bilenky Viewpoint tandem. But it's not your ordinary

Wicked machinery, Josh! Recumbents are pretty suicidal where I live, but
I'd love to tour on one.
It's a great touring tandem. Koralee and I took it down the Oregon
coast, and we did a ride with Alessandra as stoker when she was just six
years old, no problem with a 75 mile day, when she got tired up front,
she could coast and sleep -- it has a four-point belt that kept her in
the seat.
When I was over in '94 my pal from Ballard, Jim Delara, and I rode over
to Mercer for a bit of social riding. Only exercise I really got (apart
from hiking some Canadian Rockies trails...) while in N. America.
You wouldn't happen to know Jim, or Steve Hampsten his mate?
I know their names, but I can't say I've ever met them.
