According to Mendeleev, Carbon - C is different from Calcium - Ca. Don't ask
me to explain the difference, I jusy know that one is
black, and the other white
If you have carbon in your water, best way to get rid of it would be to:
Emigrate to Belgium
Or check where the exhaust from your fire goes!
Otherwise, there are sink-top water softeners widely available.
