SOP for panorama shots is to use the same manual exposure settings for
all shots. Even some fairly simple P&S DCs have this function built in.
First shot is auto exposure, then it's locked in for the rest.

This does introduce complexities with regards to (different) lighting for
individual pictures however. Possibly requiring extensive post-processing.
