For $1.25 more, the lab I get my pics developed at will scan my pics
onto a CD for me. The quality is horrible, (2.2Megapixels) but for
$1.25, I can't complain, as now I at least have a digital copy to upload
or email, without the work. But 1000f the pics are scanned
horizontally, and so I have to manually manipulate them to vertical
orientations.
I wouldn't care if it's volatile in price, but when you see a new
camera/lens/technology out every week.. It's almost like stop and go
driving...

"The biggest pains is to reorient the pics????" This is the first time I
heard such argument :-) You don't use film scanner, right? You scan your
pict with flatbed and put the prints in right direction before scan? A
camera is buy to use, if you are satisfy with it you don't need to care
whether it is volatile (in price) or not. The used MF and 35mm film gears
also has big price drop and very slow moving here too.

Seriously... A digital SLR would be great.. but right now, the market
is WAY too volatile.. I'd seriously consider it though, since that
would still make me a Zuikoholic.. ;-)
The E-1 does not have an orientation sensor??? That's HORRIBLE!! One
of the biggest pains in the rear I have found is having to reorient pics..
The pics look smooth and noiseless to me, as to a lot of magazines
who've pretested it.. What is the complaints? Also, it seems the new
Zuiko's have solved the CA problems..
