I've got three 20-year-old OM-4 "battery eaters." A pair of
silver 357s in one of these much-maligned bodies lasts about six
to eight months. At $0.71 each, including shipping, from Twin
City Supply (http://store.watchsupply.com), that amounts to less
than $3 a year.
I also have three OM-4T's, and I pay very little attention to
whether I'm using a 20-year-old OM-4 or a three-year-old OM-4Ti.
Unless you're using the F280 flash, one's as good as the other. A
working OM-4 in good condition is probably the best bargain in the
whole OM line today, in my estimation.
