More data needed! In particular, what is the lens-subject distance? DoF at
10 metres will be 100x DoF at 1 metre (for a given aperture).

And the DoF is a characteristic of 50mm lenses, rather than the Zuiko f/3.5
(of course).

Subject: [OM] Zuiko macro 50 mm F 3.5 DOF characteristics?
Hi,
I am wondering what depth of field the Zuiko
macro 50 mm F 3.5 can attain.
Approximately 3 inches are required. (The camera
lens has to be able to focus on an object like a
baseball so that all the stitching is clear,
sharp and in focus.)
Responses from people in the know and/or pointers
to (web) resources containing the information arw
welcome.
Regards,
Alexander
