I like most of those images Marc, and the mono/part-mono treatment is
very effective. I particularly like the yellow flowers at the feet of
the statue. The file sizes seem to be fine for viewing quickly enough.
But monochrome does not seem as attractive to me if I know it was not
carefully exposed and shot in monochrome (I know that is an
old-fashioned view ;-)). But my prejudice apart, the camera seems to
work very well - I see no colour fringing for instance.
What is the maximum ISO you can use with the 5050 and avoid excessive
noise, in your experience?

On the 1st of this month, I had a day off, so I went

Digital manipulation - well, apart from conversion to
black and white for some, and some occasional "Tone Balance"
adjustments (as it's called in Micrografx Picture
Publisher), they've only been resized and consequently
USM'd (I think I did some very mild saturation adjustment
on a couple)....well, except for one, where the conversion
to monotone wasn't total (yes, it's probably cliche, but
I haven't done it before :-) ). The pictures with the
pigeons and gulls are there not because I particularly
like them, but because I am undecided if I do.
Please, I wholeheartedly welcome all criticism - it's the
only way I'll learn (that's why I'm posting them) :-)
Oh, and any hints on resizing large pictures to "internet-
sized" without too much softness or oversharpening would
be greatly apprecaited
Cheers
