I suspect that the answer is "YES YES YES, much brighter" - but you can't
focus on it (except using the microprism). I am judging on the basis of the
1-11 (which has a clear centre spot) and the 1-12 (which is all clear). The
clear areas are not useful for day-to-day photography! (But if you are
interested< I have one of each up for grabs)

does anyone have experiene with the 1-5 screen? it looks like the center
won't darken with the 24 and 35 shift lenses - is that true, or am i reading
the chart wrong?
i know that it probably won't give DOF indications or correct manual
exposure, but i am interested in the clear field. is it brighter than the 2
series screens?
