ICE does not work as WELL with Kodachrome. I have found that it WILL do a
fine job of removing defects with Kodachrome, however there is some
softening of the overall image.
Most of my slides are Kodachrome, so I have quite a bit of experience with
with scanning on the 4000 ED with ICE3, particularly with many older,
scratched, and damaged slides. If your making 11x17's or larger it might
not be acceptable. I have found that it works quite well for 8x10's and
smaller. I haven't tried it yet with B&W.
