you probably can't tell them apart... especially if used at f/5.6 or f/8.
They both take 49 mm filters to match your 50 mm lens and are nearly
identical size and weight. In fact the f/3.5 actually weighs a
teeny-tiny bit more than the f/2.8 despite being 1 mm shorter.
If the price is about the same then go for the speed since, even if you
always shoot at f/5.6-8, the extra 2/3 stop will help with focusing.
