i don't think i get all the "magic" regarding the operation of the -3Ti. i
understand that it can figure out how much flash light has been reflected
back into the camera lens, but this is completely useless if the subject is
at a good distance from the background. wouldn't just a quick manual GN
calc. be quicker and more reliable?
also, if one assumes that the meter is reading *all* the light coming
through the lens and decides that the background is giving enough light to
balance out, isn't this the same as the taped contact trick on the -4 series
bodies? some enlightenment please from those who have used and love the
allusive -3Ti.
