This was maybe 9 years ago. Security in the international airport was 
that you kept close track of your own stuff so nothing disappeared. 
Internal flights were more like bus rides, nobody cared about what you 
carried except to balance the weight. Both Customs on the way in and 
security check on the way out were pretty perfunctory.
