They weren't fast Titoy - six hours before you placed your bid they placed a
higher bid maximum bid. When you placed your bid, their bid was probably
listed as USD81, but their maximum was USD102.67 - your bid of USD102.50
tipped their bid up to the maximum. I would say your bid was *almost*
perfectly pitched, but not quite :-(
The 'bid program' is merely the proxy bid system.

Who got an F280 12 hrs earlier for pretty much the same price :-)

Subject: [OM] Esnipe Bidding
Hi
I was bidding on an F280 flash on ebay but lost by mere 17 cents ! How could
anyone be fast enough to bid just 17 cents more within the 6 seconds left?
Is there a bid program that allows you to bid a fixed amount higher than a
previous one?
Titoy
