When I got re-inflicted by Zuikoholism almost 2 years ago now, I had the
Tamron 90/2.5. I sold it after I got the 90/2, and the Zuikoholicism has
been all downhill from there :-) I would agree with Moose that the Tamron
is nice, and definitely the Zuiko is not 4x as good. OTOH, you will have to
pry the Zuiko 90/2 off my cold dead hand. I ain't ever going to give that up.
This is was done with the Tamron 90/2.5 about 11 years ago, pretty nice
bokeh too:

This one was done with the Zuiko 90/2, just 2 weeks ago. Haven't aged a bit :-)

Interesting. I have the earlier Tamron 90/2.5 (49mm filter size), which is
metal construction and seems quite sturdy. I've been very happy with it
doing a bit of outdoor work and a lot of copy work. It is 2/3 of a stop
slower than the 90/2, in return for which it is lighter and slimmer. With
the Tamron SP flat field 2x converter, it becomes a 180/5 (extra reach!)
that focuses directly to 1:1. I haven't had any problem with my Tamron
Adaptall 2 mounts. They are sturdy and well finished on the surface that
mates with the camera. Maybe there is manufacturing variation and I've
been lucky.
Winsor, the 90/2 and 85/2 are worlds apart in size and weight.
Dan, I wouldn't.

Tell me why you would buy a $800 90mm Zuiko macro over a less than half
the cost Tamron 90mm 2.8 Macro the out performs the Zuiko 4.3 vs. 4.2 ?
Are we nuts or are we getting into logo's or collection?
