>SR44 (and its variants) last a long time on the shelf. I was in Jessops
the
>other day, and they had SR44 batteries sold under the "Kodak" brand (2 UK
>pounds EACH!), and the "use by" date on the packaging was 2007.
Which branch? I had a look at a few branches in London yesterday and
couldn't find any. LR44s at £2.50 per pair everywhere, but that's not the
same.
As I said, the 1/3n is for emergencies only. £2.50 each is cheap insurance.
I've had too many 'dead in the pack' SR44s, irrespective of date code.
