Wider lens is difficult to make but not shorter focal length lens. The E-10
has a 9mm-36mm lens and some other compact DC has 5-6mm at the wide end.
They are widely available and very cheap. I didn't mention the video camera
lens which have a 4-40mm for a long time, as their resolution is good for
video only.
