Yes and no. First of all, the EOS-1Ds is NOT aimed at the
general person. 11.1 megapixel is getting there. I'm even
doing a double-take at it. Full-frame? This is serious stuff,
folks. Too bad my carpel-tunnel prevents me from using EOS.
11x14 prints? Probably 2/3 of everything I print in my darkroom
is 11x14. I sell more 11x14 B&Ws than 8x10 B&Ws. If I was
shooting medium format I'd be selling mostly 16x20 or larger
prints. Size DOES matter. It's far easier selling a $250 print
if it has a little bit of mass to it. These are art prints,
though. Lots of border. An 8x10 might only have an image size
of 6x8. 4x6 full-bleed prints are for picture albums.
My OMs aren't typically used for picture albums.
