Well, I'd say if he does go digital, then the preferred method would be
to make 35mm slides from his digital images. Most labs will make a
slide from an image (approx. 8x10 @ 300dpi) for a few dollars. The
resolution is quite good, and from 10 ft. or 10 mph, one couldn't tell
the difference. The real benefit here is that manipulation can be done
to the image to achieve the desired result. I have often had to
Photoshop out handicap parking signs, etc. for those AR architect types.

I have a friend of many years' standing with whom I used to share a flat

New Zealand in the 1970s, and who works for the USDAFS in the WV / MD
area. He spends a lot of time talking to classes and projecting slides.
Now
he's thinking of digital. My first question was "Why?".
