This is probably off-topic (sorry) but when did the black models become
more expensive than the chrome models?
I think that Leica started this back in the 1930's. Originally, they
were all black. The chrome model was introduced as a "high-end" or
deluxe model, and cost more. So, when did the black bodies become the
"professional" bodies, and cost more than chrome? I would assume that
the chrome model is more expensive to produce.
