I would like to know what the sudden interest in "bashing" the f/4 lens is.
For a long time the opinions were that it was a fine lens and worth owning,
and now I see lots of discussion about the f/5 lens being better, blah,
blah, blah.... I thought all Zuikos were good lenses. It took me a while
to choose to purchase the f/4 and I based my purchase in part on the
opinions of this list and other OM sources.

Disclaimer: I'm always joking
unless I should be serious.
You have to realize that mixed in with the informed discussion there
is a lot of idle chatter on the list including justification of why
someone made a different choice. The question is whether you are
happy with the pictures taken with your F4. Do you really want a
dimmer, more difficult to focus lens? F4 is tough enough. I would
have gone in the other direction with the 180/2.8, but it doesn't
seem to offer significantly improved images over the F4 at great
sacrifice of weight and dollars.
