Remember the focal length of the 50/2 widens as you move in; I think it's 40mm
up close.
For the extra $200 there are only a couple of things you get over a nice MC
50/3.5: A much brighter finder image, and (to my eye) some very, very nice
bokeh effects at wide apertures.
As a "walk-around" lens, it's just plain bulky, especially after getting used
to how cozy the 50/3.5 feels.
