Remember, some of these cases were made over periods of decades. There
was almost certainly some variation over that time even within one
FL/speed. There are at least 5 variations of the 50/1.8 lens, why would
there not also be variations in cases? I does appear that the earliest
cases made when there was only one lens of a particular focal length
showed only the focal length and later cases showed both FL and speed
where there were multiple versions of the same FL. I have about a dozen
hard cases and they seem to show that pattern.
