Single coated lens normally appear clear. Any indication
of green in the lens indicates multi-coated. A yellowish
lens has "rare earth glass" mostly on a letter preceding
the word Zuiko, such as "G. Zuiko". The letter indicates
the number of elements, which in this case is
umm....seven? I think. If this confuses you go to:

Feel free to correct me on this, but don't the
single-coated lenses
have a sort of yellow look to them, while the MC's look
greenish?
Both my F-Zuiko 1.8's look yellow. Or can you tell from
serial
numbers? Both of mine look yellow and serial no's are
232xxx
and 611xxx, 6 digit no's.
According to the FAQ, if the lens front is marked MC,
then it is
MC. Or if the lens is marked Zuiko - as compared to
F.Zuiko or
G.Zuiko or ..... - it is MC.
