Hello everybody. I'm new to the list here and enjoying all the information I
am receiving from it.
I'm Simon, a graphic designer from Wellington, New Zealand.
After using and enjoying my IS-1000 for five years, the opportunity arose a
couple of months ago to try out the OM's with an OM-10 body I picked up for
next to nothing.
Well, 7 weeks have gone by and I now own an OM-10, OM-40 Program and a
pristine black OM-1, 2 x 50mm 1.8 F-Zuiko's, 1 x 70-210 Tokina zoom, 1 x
35-135 Tamron zoom, a winder 2, and a T-20 flash.
Is this normal behaviour? My wife is starting to look at me a bit funny and
mentioning words like "obsessive" and "weird".
Anyway, it's good to see I'm not alone here.
A couple of questions though. One of my 1.8 50mm's has a bit of dust inside
it. It takes photos okay (I can't make out any spots on the prints) but
compared to the other 50mm, it just doesn¹t look as nice. At what extent
should I start worrying? There's about 3 grains of dust - they are about 1/3
of a millimetre in size but hey, you can see them when you hold the lens up
to the light.
Also, does anyone know of a place I can get a battery cover for my T-20
flash? Or hould I just try and buy a junked one off that auction site?
Thanks a lot.
Si
