Don't forget repairability!!!! John and Clint provide a superb service for
little $. As far as I know, there is no such service for digital. This is
why I will not purchase an E20 or "serious" SLR (probably ever). As I have
posted to the list before, I have had 3 friends have their digicams fry out
of warranty (2 Nikon and 1 Olympus). Manufacturers said cheaper to buy
another....what a crock as far as I am concerned. If this happened when I
had a "serious" $3000 digicam, it would be horrific. This has happened, if
you check some of the popular review sites out (dpreview forum).
Switching to all digital is folly for this reason alone....you'll have to
keep buying stuff forever!!!! My OM1n is about 20 years old and is now
getting a CLA at Camtech. Can't do a CLA on a digicam. My OM1n should be
running for another 20 years, then I'll get another CLA, and well, I'll be
63. No present digicam will last long (the calendar on the E20 only goes to
2030 anyway).

And that's just the camera...you'll more than double that by the time you
have a computer to fully support the system and a printer that is capable
of making a decent quality print larger than a snapshot.
