Might as well go direct to digital then.
I don't know about digital. Depends on what he's doing . . . numbers of
images at one time and print sizes. Digital isn't the answer for
*everything* yet. I've crunched the numbers. Systems that seriously
*equal* 35mm film capabilities require a horrendous amount of money. One
can buy an entire medium format system: bodies, lenses, film backs, etc.
for the same price.
And that's just the camera...you'll more than double that by the time you
have a computer to fully support the system and a printer that is capable
of making a decent quality print larger than a snapshot.
