Check the shutter with a nearby TV for accuracy. Look at all the normal
things that should work: Rewind, meter, film transport, shutter release,
screen change, aperture connections, etc. Put a roll of junk film through
it, or even better, bring a Motor and attach it and run a roll through.
If it's just ugly, it's a definate BUY. In fact, I'd be inclined to leave
the top plate all brassed up. That adds "character", IMO.
And $80 + $150 for a full CLA would still be a DEAL.

HI to All
I just spotted a really well used, all brassed up with yellow metal showing
OM 3 at the local camera store district. This one looks decidedly used up,
not abused but must've seen a lot in its lifetime.
Surprisingly it seems to work, metering seems to be ok etc. Winder
mechanism
seems to have slack etc.
Finally I ask about the price: US 80.00....Is this worth it? a mini Fang?
I have long wanted an OM 4T for the mulitspot metering. Here I get one ....
Are top covers still available? Or anyone with a dead OM 3 body ?
Regards
Titoy
