Those others are a tad big to strap to your finger.
Well, perhaps I shouldn't say that as, I've not seen your finger!  :-)

You mean you can use those for something other than throwing back and forth
at rock concerts?  I thought that was their sole purpose!  :)

  Are you talking about those plastic lightsticks that you snap and shake to 
activate and they glow for a few hours? 
  Various sizes and colors are available under the brand name "Cyalume" here in 
U.S. 
  They're available all over the place here. Some towns give them out to kids 
during Halloween trick-or-treating for safety (visibility). 
  American Cyanamid developed them around 1971 or 72. I was present at the 
first demonstration the company gave, right here in New Jersey.

    It sound like it indeed would! 
    Now that the topic is momentarily on photography, I wonder if you 
    could find a source for those on the web or something? 
    Or, are they still top-secret military only stuff?
