So, has anybody tought of the fact that the lens mount to 'film plane'
distance will be considerably less than for 35mm slrs. Smaller 'film',
smaller camera, smaller mirror, shorter 'standard' focal length and
shorter distance from the back of the lens to the sensitive medium.
There just isn't room for the full sized Oly mount in height, width OR
depth. Then there's the good news, plenty of room between the camera
body and where an OM lens has to sit to focus properly. So even if Oly
doesn't explictly accomodate the OM lenses, someone will come up with a
mount adapter. If Oly uses an optical viewfinder, it all might work,
awkwardly. The problem of conveying aperture info to the camera remains.
Anybody ready to go back to manual stop down?

But does this all absolutely preclude a mount that'll take Zuikos? If
the Nikon D1X can be the benchmark of top-end digital while being usable
with 40 year old lenses surely Olympus can support their loyal
customers.
