[OM] Manfrotto (Bogen) strap [OT-ish]

When I bought my 055NAT2 (3221GN) tripod it included a wide strap, to fit on
the little ring on the 'pod. I've tried it several ways and at quite a few
lengths, but it seems a singularly useless item to me.

Any comments?
