I have some "Made in Japan" and a "Japan" versions of the 50/1.8. One
difference I noticed between the two is different types of aperture
blades. I also noticed the older blades are more prone to getting sticky.
Of course, this could be just because they are older but thats been my
experience with the small sample of 50/1.8's I have owned.
