It was soft, maybe ideal for wedding photography, but not even close to a
contender with my primes. I even felt, though I never tested it, that my
28-200 Tamron was noticeably sharper. I did not look at photo.do at the
time, because I just did not like the look of my 1st roll of film with the
Nikkor. But out of curiosity, I just looked, and photodo gives the Nikkor
a mark of 2.3; the Tamron gets 2.7. I don't mean to start a war about the
validity of photodo; I know the limitations of their procedures. But it
was my eye that didn't like the Nikkor 24-120, not photos of a chart.
