Wayne,
Thanks for your advice. In my original post, I stated that I was using the
correct shoe for the OM-2 (not n). I didn't state which model of shoe it
was but apparently no one takes my word for it. I'm using a Shoe 3 on the
OM-2.
But even if I was using the wrong shoe, it should still fire, albiet giving
me a full dump (as you noted). This would usually result in an OVERexposure
while I was complaining of UNDERexposure.
In my post I stated that it didn't fire over and over again. Ultimately,
after reseating several times, it began working. I was complaining of
un-reliability and underexposure, not consistent overexposure. Your
suggestion is an appropriate solution for a different symptom than the one I
stated.

be
used with the OM-2 (using Shoe 3), but you won't get the falsh ready light
in the
viewfinder as you would with an OM-2N (+Shoe 4).
Perhaps the original poster who had the problem was using the T32 with a
Shoe
2 and getting a full flash dump.
