I have never handled an OM-2000, but I knew someone with the Nikon FM-10
which is supposed to be the same basic camera ( made by Cosina ). I was
quite put off by the feel-- very lightweight and plastic feel to it. I
have an OM-2s and it is an OK camera, but I much prefer my old OM1md,
even though the meter is about 1 stop off. I am amazed how everyone
likes the OM2s so much. I think I would rather have an OM2 than the
OM-2s to complement the OM1, so I hope to eventually do that. Anyway
that would be my suggestion-- to get an OM1 or OM 2 instead of the OM-2000.

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I'd be happy to take that
wasteful OM-2S off your hands
I'll second that thought. I keep being sorely tempted to pick up yet ANOTHER
OM-2S, I like mine that much!
