Gary, Thanks in great part to your tests and my own
subjective tests I have a similar kit. My small kit
consists of the 16, 21/3.5, 28/2, 35/2.8, 50/3.5,
90/2.8 Sigma macro, 135/3.5 and 200/5. I shoot mostly
macro and wide angle so the 135 and 200 are mostly
back-up lens. My bigger kit for birds and animals
includes the 80-200/2.8 Tamron and 400/4 Tamron with
1.4x and 2x. The MF 645 kit starts from a 30mm
fisheye, then 35, 45, 75, 120, 200 and 300 with 1.4x
and 2x. But it weighs 26 lbs. with accessories and
pack. I find I can get most everything done with the
small kit.
