OK, I'm contemplating an 85/2, but I already have a 90/2 and the

looking for opinions. Is it worth the $150-200 for such a lens? How is
the performance wide-open?

Skip,
Of course you should buy one! What self-respecting Zuiko . . . er, umm,
uhh . . . hobbyist would be without one. It's an essential part of the
"twelve-stop program."
Performance is excellent wide open, indeed across its aperture range. It
(along with the 135/2.8) is an unsung hero of the fast modestly long
lenses, overshadowed by the 100/2 and 90/2 Macro. The small size and light
weight make it very easy for hand held work and unobtrusive. If it had a
55mm filter ring it would match my other fast f/2 lenses, but I know others
like the 49mm ring because it matches their other f/2.8 lenses.
I have contemplated buying the 100/2 to fill in between 85mm and 135mm
although it is down the priority list behind a few other items.
