I'm a new subscriber and new OM owner, having just bought my first OM, a
OM-1 (w/o) motordrive. It's in very nice shape and came with a 50mm 1.4
lense. I'm waiting on my first pictures back from the developer with it.

Welcome to the fold. You read like a sensible chap, so you might
wish to stick to a simple combination of wide angle and short
telephoto :>).
I suggest that you get your self a 28/2.8 and a 135/2.8. Prices in
the US will come from someone else as they cost more in the UK (about
£70 and £140 respectively).
If you want to buy bigger lenses in about the same range, the 28/2 is
highly regarded, but for 2 or 3 times the price of the 28/2.8;
whereas the 180/2.8 is apparently a useful lens (I am trying to find
one now), again for 2 or 3 times the price of the 135/2.8.
Finally, for cheaper lenses (but pretty sharp nonetheless), you can
get a 28/3.5 and a 135/3.5 for about 2/3rds the price of the faster
ones.
Good Hunting
Chris
