I have a new 2XA that has never been mounted on a camera. It is in the box
with its leather pouch and is for sale for $225 US. Some list members have
recently been extolling the virtues of the 50mm f-3.5 macro lens. I also
have one of those for sale for $160. Please reply off-list if interested.

The 2X -A is made for the 100/2.8, both 135's , 200/4 and the 100-200
zoom.
I own one of these and have used it with the lenses it is designed for and
with other lenses. You give up two f stops nad some sharpness. Tom can
probably give you a better read on prices but I think you will probably
find
them selling for 160-200 on ebay. You might do a search on ebay for
completed auctions to see if any have sold recently. I saw one LNIB at a
local store (Houston,TX) and they wanted a huge price (over $300).This
will
make your 135 a 270mm. You might also look at the Vivitar Macro focusing
teleconverter. It is a nice unit that many list members have had good
results with. Be sure it is the macro focusing unit which has been selling
around $50 on ebay for a nice clean one. Bill Barber
