I use a Bogan Super Clamp (B&H Catalog # BO2909), along with a Bogen Dbl ball joint HD w/camera platform/QR, (B&H Catalog # BO2916QR). This setup will clamp on most anything. I clamp it to the leg of my tripod most of the time. Works really well.
